Join the Trefoil Guild in June 2024 on our pre-meeting luxury tour to Bath & Bristol
Highlights include a Guided tour of John Wesley's Chapel, a visit to the Jane Austen Centre including Jane Austen goody bag and a heritage guided tour of Aerospace Bristol including luxury afternoon tea under Concorde
At the end of the tour we will make our way to Portsmouth, to arrive at your hotel on Friday afternoon ready for the start of the Annual Meeting weekend.
4th June 2024
Arrive at Bristol Temple Meads Train Station in the early afternoon where there will be a coach
to transfer you to your hotel. Check into your bedroom and relax, then throw on your robe and
slippers and head to the award-winning leisure and spa facilities on offer at the hotel. After
dinner enjoy your complimentary pillow spray, eye-mask, and pillow menu to ensure a serene
night’s sleep.
5th June 2024
This morning we take a route through the Avon Gorge to see Isambard Kingdom Brunel’s
magnificent Clifton Suspension Bridge. Next we visit John Wesley’s Chapel – The New Room
and Museum where we discover the oldest Methodist building in the world and visit the handson
museum telling the story of the Wesley’s and their work. In the afternoon we have free time
in Bristol before returning to our hotel for an evening of dinner and relaxation.
6th June 2024
We spend the morning exploring the beautifully preserved village of Lacock. Almost entirely
owned by the National Trust, it is famous for its museum, abbey, timber-framed houses, artisan
shops, and as a TV and film location. Next we travel to the Roman city of Bath where we visit
the The Jane Austen Centre which offers a snapshot of life during Regency times.
7th June 2024
We spend the morning indulging in some retail therapy at Cribbs Causeway. We then travel to
Aerospace Bristol for a guided heritage tour. After our tour we enjoy a Luxury Afternoon tea
under the wings of Concorde - a unique experience and great photo opportunity! Departing
Bristol for Portsmouth, we stop in the beautiful Cathedral city of Salisbury to stretch our legs.
Arrive at our hotel in Portsmouth for dinner at our hotel.

Located on a leafy business park outside Bristol, the Aztec Hotel is the perfect base for both relaxing and exploring. All 128 bedrooms come with a large TV, fluffy robes and slippers, pillow menu, pillow spray and mask, bedside radio, mini-fridge, coffee machine, chunky biscuits and
Wi-Fi. Milk and fresh filtered water are available from machines located in the corridors. There is a lift to all floors. The award-winning leisure and spa facilities include a large swimming poolwith relaxation beds surrounding it, sauna, steam room, spa pool, gym and treatment rooms
(spa treatments are available for guests to pre-book individually). Breakfast for groups is a buffet served in a private room and dinner is a three-course, three choice plated menu in the main restaurant (pre-orders required). Porterage is included. Please note there are no twin rooms with walk-in showers available at this hotel and no fully accessible rooms.
